The Governing Body seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Ysgol Bwlchgwyn C P. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support high‑quality learning across the school and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering lessons, supporting pupils with additional needs as well as monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and motivated individual who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping them reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons under the direction of teaching staff to support pupil progress.
Cover PPA and Management Time, as well as providing classroom cover during teacher absence to ensure continuity of learning.
Support pupils with additional needs, providing tailored individual and small‑group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other key curriculum areas under the guidance of the ALNCo.
Monitor, assess and record pupil achievement, and contribute to reports on progress, development and well‑being.
Contribute to a positive, engaging, safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to support pupil development.
We are seeking someone with strong communication skills, initiative, and a commitment to supporting high‑quality teaching and learning.
