'Dream, Believe, Achieve Together'
Brynhyfryd Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school at the heart of Brynhyfryd, just two miles north of Swansea city centre. The school opened in September 2015 following the amalgamation of the previous infant and junior schools. Currently, the school has 424 pupils on roll, including 44 in the nursery who attend on a part-time basis. Pupils are taught in 15 classes on two sites. Around 27% of pupils are eligible for free school meals.
Our mission, "Dream, Believe Achieve Together", is at the core of everything we do. We are a happy and caring school, where children and staff have strong relationships and are encouraged to be the best they can be. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, happy, and secure. Our curriculum is developing into a broad, balanced, and engaging offer, with a strong emphasis on pupil voice, children's rights, and restorative practices.
Staff and governors are deeply committed to what is best for our children, and we work in strong partnership with parents and carers to support every child's journey. Diversity is valued and celebrated, and learners are supported to become ethically informed, ambitious, and confident individuals.
Brynhyfryd Primary was inspected by Estyn in March 2025 and was placed in Special Measures. We have made strong progress on our recommendations and we are looking for an excellent headteacher who can further support the school on it's current positive trajectory, ensuring that 'The Brynhyfryd Way' enables all pupils to enjoy learning and make progress.
