We're looking for an enthusiastic and committed Cook-in-Charge to lead the catering service at Ysgol Llanddulas, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that support the wellbeing of pupils, staff, and visitors.
This is more than just a cooking role, it's an opportunity to take ownership of a vital service, lead a small team, and help shape a positive mealtime experience in a busy school environment. You'll
be at the heart of the school day, creating meals that fuel learning and bring comfort and joy to the school community.

The main duties of the post will include: -
1. Organise, prepare and serve food at lunchtime for the students, staff and visitors of Ysgol Llanddulas.
2. Provide on the job training for new cooks and colleagues.
3. Cooking the meals required, portion control, food service, ordering, washing up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room.
4. Be prepared to undergo appropriate training and development (sometimes outside normal working days/hours by prior arrangement) i.e. Intermediate Food Hygiene and Basic Nutrition.
5. Associated clerical duties.
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau).
