Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is seeking an inspiring and visionary Head of Languages, Literacy and Communication to lead a dynamic Welsh department from September 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the strategic direction of one of the core areas of the Curriculum for Wales in a forward‑thinking school committed to bilingualism, innovation, and high‑quality teaching.

As Head of Languages, Literacy and Communication, you will:
  • Lead the strategic provision and operational management of the AoLE, including Welsh (First Language and Second Language).
  • Drive curriculum development and innovation, ensuring contemporary, high‑quality learning experiences across all key stages.
  • Lead, mentor and support a dedicated team of teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Set and promote high expectations for all learners, inspiring them to develop their linguistic and communication skills to the fullest.

We are seeking a leader who combines excellent classroom practice, expertise in languages and literacy, and a deep passion for developing communication as an essential life skill.
