An exciting vacancy is available as a CAA Assistant in the Aerospace department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at the International Centre for Aerospace Training.Responsibilities include:
- Responsible to CAA exams Manager to implement CAA regulatory framework as laid down in the CAA approved Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition (MTOE) and Procedures.
- Support the CAA exams Manager with internal and external audits and/or inspections.
- Ensuring examinations are conducted within CAA regulations with appointing approved invigilator/s and marking of papers and issuing results in a timely manner.
- Use of college systems to process registrations, exam entries, invigilation and claiming for other exam boards.
- To ensure that all Civil Aviation Rules and Regulations are adhered to
- Assist in ensuring that all leaners are registered with awarding bodies within the board deadlines
- To ensure that all examinations are conducted under the specified rules
- To ensure that all claims are processed at the end of the college course
- Provide learners with the access arrangements they are entitled to
- Ensure that all certificates are sent to learners in a timely manner
- Support the college with the administration needed to run the examinations' function
- Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
