Salary: Grade 7 Point 15 to Point 19 £30,024 to £32,061 per annum pro rata £15.56 to £16.61per hour

Job description

About the role:
Working under the overall supervision of the Assistant Head teacher/senior leader you will be responsible, on a day-to-day basis, for supporting individual or groups of learners who access the Pupil Referral Units.

• Enthusiastic about working with children and young people
• Flexible and willing to undertake a wide range of duties
• Personal integrity to make best use of own skills, resources and abilities
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Able to support learners with challenging behaviour
• Able to use a range of strategies and methods of support to help individual and groups of learners

What you will do:
Monitor and provide for the general care, safety and welfare of learners, including tasks connected with their social inclusion and providing for their personal, physical and health care needs.
Establish productive working relationships with learners, acting as a role model, demonstrating positive values, attitudes and behaviour and setting high expectations
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the classroom, encourage them to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all in activities
Support learners consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
