The duties and responsibilities of a caretaker may vary from school to school, but the following is a list of duties and responsibilities of the caretaker.

To ensure a safe working environment for all children, staff and visitors to the school while having an awareness of and display a commitment to relevant legislations and guidance in the working practices in relation to the Conwy's safeguarding commitment.
