Job Coach - Supported Internships (Fixed-Term)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cardiff and Vale College for a Job Coache to join our supported internship programme. The successful candidate will use job coaching techniques to support young people's development towards employability on our supported internship programmes. You will identify an intern's strengths, interests, and abilities related to skill acquisition, job development and employment and work with the Programme Lead in securing appropriate employment consistent with the intern's interests and skills and to work with local business and industry to meet their employment needs.

Additionally you will:
  • Assess and refer young people on the programme to appropriate support services for training and successful employment.
  • Undertake administrative duties in relation to securing resources for intern support from Dept. Work and Pensions.
  • Be responsible for performing those duties and activities that ensure interns learn skills required for full time employment prospects.
  • Adhere to and promote the standards of the host business and/or competitive work site in order to prompt job productivity and efficiency.
  • Support the Supported Internships Lecturer and Programme Lead to meet the education and professional development of interns.

Please note - the commencement date will be 1st August 2026 subject to the completion of the necessary pre-employment checks and vetting. This is a fixed-term contract ending 31st July 2027.
