The role:

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified practitioner to join the Visual Arts Department to deliver silversmithing classes at the vibrant Llwyn y Bryn Campus of Gower College Swansea. These classes are well established and popular with the learners.
  • Fractional (0.6) 22.2 hours per week
  • Permanent
  • £15,831 - £31,158 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Key Responsibilities:
  • To deliver silversmithing classes to adult learners.
  • Prepare lessons and order materials as required.
  • Promote classes via the college website and social media.
  • Be responsible for Health and Safety in the classroom.
About you:
  • Possess a relevant degree and have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one.
  • Experience in delivering silversmithing classes with a good understanding of the processes involved in making silver jewellery.
  • A confident communicator and committed individual who can engage and inspire learners of all abilities by tailoring the classes to suit all learners.
