Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Clerk to the Governing Body to support the school's governance arrangements from July 2026. This is a valuable opportunity to play a central role in supporting strong and effective governance within a forward‑thinking school committed to bilingualism, transparency, compliance and continuous improvement for the benefit of pupils, staff and the wider community.
As Clerk to the Governing Body, you will:
- Support the Chair, Headteacher and Governors by organising meetings, preparing agendas and papers, and producing accurate, timely and high‑quality minutes.
- Provide reliable and objective advice on governance procedures, relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities.
- Ensure continuity of Governing Body business through the effective and confidential management of records, statutory documentation and governance information.
- Promote effective governance by building positive working relationships with Governors and
external partners.
We are seeking an individual with high professional standards, excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of the strategic role of the Governing Body. You will be an effective communicator who works with integrity and discretion, contributing directly to robust governance, a positive culture and the school's ambitious vision.
