About the Role
Ysgol yr Hafod, Johnstown is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and inspirational teacher to lead learning within our Resourced Provision . This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about inclusion and committed to supporting pupils with additional learning needs to thrive.

Our Resourced Provision class supports Primary pupils (age 7-11) with a range of additional learning needs.

We are looking for someone who:-
• has high expectations of what children can achieve regardless of their level of ability
• is passionate about working with children with ALN and supporting their needs
• has relevant and recent experience of working with the curriculum for Wales and the ALN code of practice
• promotes high levels of wellbeing and uses positive behaviour management
• leads a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants effectively
• will lead person‑centred reviews and Annual Reviews
• effectively supports integration into mainstream where appropriate and fosters an inclusive ethos across the school
• nurtures positive relationships with parents and outside agencies

About Us
Ysgol yr Hafod is a county primary school in the village of Johnstown

n close to the town centre of Wrexham. We provide education for 350 learners from 3 - 11 year olds , including a Nursery and a Reourced Provision Class for 7-11 year olds.

We have a wrap around child care provision, Little Miners for our Nursery children, and an After School club for all pupils.

In September 2023 we moved in to our newly extended and refurbished site on Bangor Road, bringing the whole school on to one site. This has been a very exciting time for our school and an important landmark in our school's history.

At Ysgol yr Hafod , Johnstown, children are placed at the centre of everything we do. Pupil voice is central to our curriculum. We have a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff and together, we strive to ensure our school is a safe and happy environment where every child is valued and given every opportunity to be the best that they can be.

We believe that the environment in which they learn should be an inspirational one. We are extremely proud of the learning environment we have created in our new building. It is a place where children can thrive, use and apply their skills, follow their interests and have high aspirations.
