Conwy County Borough Council is launching Connect to Work, a new programme supporting people with health conditions and other barriers to move into sustainable, meaningful employment. We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and outcomes-focused Employment Specialist to join our team at the start of this exciting programme.

The Role
You will manage a caseload of participants facing complex barriers to employment, delivering tailored, person-centred support using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. You will focus on rapid job search, engaging local employers, securing competitive paid roles and providing in-work support to sustain employment outcomes. This is a community-based role covering Conwy County, requiring flexibility, initiative and strong partnership working with health professionals and key referring partners, engagement with employers and third sector organisations across Conwy.

About You
You will:
• Believe employment is central to health and wellbeing
• Have experience in employability, supported employment, health, social care or a related field
• Be confident building employer relationships
• Be organised, resilient and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes
IPS experience is desirable but not essential - full training and professional development will be provided.
