- Is able to support the class teacher in preparing resources, setting up and delivering learning activities and assessing pupils
- Can carry out practical tasks which support the smooth running of the school
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Has good communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills
- Will be committed to a restorative approach to behaviour management.
- Is confident in supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs and those with English as an Additional Language.
- Can be positive, optimistic and pro-active within an existing strong team of staff
- Will contribute to the general life of the whole school
