Overall job purpose
Support the Headteacher through providing strategic and operational leadership across the school to ensure that
all learners have the best possible opportunity to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

The Governing Body wishes to appoint a person with the skills to:
• Work collaboratively with the headteacher in all aspects of the school's work
• Act as the senior management team member for curricular aspects and data
• Provide effective leadership and management
• Manage school-wide projects
• Support and develop teamwork
• Work effectively with staff, governors, parents, and the wider community
• Promote the Welsh language ethos within the school and its extracurricular activities
• Motivate all pupils to reach their full potential

Fulfilling professional duties in accordance with Professional Welsh Teachers standards, School Policies and
Procedures, and current Legislation and Protection Guidelines.

Teachers' professional duties and responsibilities are outlined in the Teachers and School Salary Conditions
Document (Wales).

• Create and promote a strong ethos of safeguarding, safety and well-being
• Ensure opportunity equality and access to quality education high for all learners
• Lead with emphasis on positive relationships, respect and constructive behavior
• Working together with staff, parents / governors and external agencies
