The Rofft School, Marford is looking to appoint a dependable and proactive Caretaker to become part of our dedicated team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the security, safety, and smooth day-to-day running of the school premises. Responsibilities will include carrying out minor maintenance and repairs, monitoring and maintaining operational systems, completing routine safety inspections, and keeping accurate maintenance records.

As the school's main key holder, the postholder will be responsible for opening and securing the site each day. The role also involves supervising the cleaning team to ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the school.

Additional duties include the safe and efficient disposal of waste and recycling, along with maintaining the school grounds to keep them tidy, safe, and free from weeds, litter, and debris.

Flexibility is essential, as the successful applicant may occasionally be required to attend the site outside normal working hours in response to alarm activations or emergency situations. There may also be opportunities to work additional hours during school holidays to assist with cleaning and maintenance projects.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
