The Headteacher and Governing Body of Talycopa Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, innovative PS3 teacher to join our school. This is a fixed term full time post to cover a maternity leave. It will start in September 2026. Talycopa Primary School is based in Llansamlet, on the outskirts of Swansea. Our aim is to create a safe and stimulating environment within a caring community, where children feel happy and secure. We want every child to reach their full potential in all areas of school life.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be an excellent and creative classroom practitioner who is passionate about the emotional and academic development of every child.
  • Have an excellent understanding of the new curriculum for Wales.
  • Have an excellent understanding of ALN and how to support all learners through inclusive education.
  • Have experience of teaching in PS3.
  • Be a good communicator and team member and be committed to working as a team to provide the best experience for all children.
  • Have a clear understanding of assessment for learning.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with parents/carers in order to best support the needs of the children in their care.
