We are seeking to appoint a skilled, compassionate and resilient Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality support to pupils with ESBD needs. Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and specialist professionals, you will help create a safe, structured and emotionally supportive environment where pupils can engage positively in learning.

Responsibilities will include:

• Adapting learning- Modifying tasks, resources and routines to ensure accessibility and success for pupils with complex needs.

• Working collaboratively- Liaising with teachers, therapists, external agencies and families to ensure consistent, holistic support.

• Contributing to planning- Assisting with lesson preparation, assessment and behaviour plans, and providing professional insight into pupil progress.

• Acting as a key adult- Offering stability, encouragement and emotional containment for pupils who may struggle with trust, routine or self‑esteem.

We are seeking someone who is:

• Experienced in supporting pupils with ESBD or additional learning needs.

• Skilled in de‑escalation, emotion coaching, and restorative practice.

• Able to remain calm, consistent and compassionate in challenging situations.

• Confident in leading interventions and contributing to planning.

• A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

• Reflective, resilient and committed to ongoing professional development.

• A relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience) is essential.

We can offer:

• Access to specialist training in ESBD, trauma‑informed practice and therapeutic approaches.

• Opportunities to develop your career in a highly rewarding area of education.

• A school culture built on empathy, respect and the belief that every child can succeed.

If you are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with ESBD needs, we would be delighted to receive your application.
