The Governing Body of Llan-y-pwll School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, caring and energetic Year 3 and 4 teacher to join our team. This is a permanent position to commence on 1st September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate will:
• Be an excellent, creative and confident practitioner, with a full commitment to the development of Welsh-medium education;
• Be flexible, dedicated, a strong team player and able to contribute effectively to school developments and the wider school community;
• Be ready to embrace the pedagogy and philosophy of the Curriculum for Wales and play a part in its development within the context of the school community;
• Plan and prepare lessons carefully and thoroughly, maintaining motivation, challenge and pace, while providing engaging, high-quality teaching and learning experiences;
• Raise standards and have a positive impact on learner outcomes;
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills;
• Place the wellbeing and safety of our children at the centre of all they do;
• Be committed to ensuring that every learner, regardless of ability or background, is happy and successful in their learning;
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, making purposeful use of the outdoors;
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Ysgol Llan-y-pwll is a designated Welsh-medium school located on the outskirts of Wrexham in the Borras area. Applications are invited from teachers who are fluent Welsh speakers. Erbyn hyn, mae 70 o ddisgyblion ar y gofrestr, yn cynnwys disgyblion o'r Dosbarth Meithrin hyd at Flwyddyn 3.

About Us -

Ysgol Llan-y-pwll is a Welsh-medium primary school located in the city of Wrexham, in the Rhosnesni and Borras area. The school opened in 2022 with a small group of pupils and moved into a modernised building in March 2023. At present, there are 70 pupils on the register, including pupils from Nursery up to Year 3.

These numbers will increase annually as an additional class is added each year, until we provide education for all pupils up to Year 6 in September 2028. Therefore, our numbers are increasing each year.

We are proud of our recent Estyn report following the inspection in October 2025, when it was recognised that Ysgol Llan-y-pwll is a caring, happy and inclusive learning community, where there is a strong sense that every pupil is a member of a large, close-knit family.

Our vision is to ensure that Ysgol Llan-y-pwll is a caring school that develops ambitious and capable learners, in an environment where everyone is happy, safe, and eager to learn.
