Higher Level Teaching Assistant within our Learning Resource Centre for pupils with complex needs

Grade 6 - £28,142 for 29 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £19,375.18 pro rata

The governing body wish to appoint a skilled and highly motivated practitioner to teach and to support teachers in our Learning Resource Centre classrooms. Our Learning Resource Centre was recently extended from 12 to 24 places. It is a complex needs unit for pupils with ASC, speech and language and behavioural and emotional needs. The successful candidate will join two teachers, one of whom is our school's Additional Learning Needs Coordinator, in working within the LRC at Tenby Primary School.

He/ she will work with the ALNCo, headteacher and staff to ensure excellent learning and teaching in our Learning Resource Centre. Our school is based in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby, which offers an enviable setting in which to work and educate our pupils.

This is a wonderful opportunity to shape future practice in our LRC and to contribute more widely to the ongoing successes of our wonderful school.

This vacancy may carry whole-class teaching responsibilities for part of each week, with responsibilities for leading groups and providing individual support at other times. Planning and preparation time with be provided if whole-class teaching is expected.

The successful candidate will be employed from 1 st September 2026 on NJC grade 6, open-ended.
