The Governing body of Llangiwg Primary School seek to appoint suitably qualified, caring and committed 1:1 Level 2 teaching assistant.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (1:1) to work within our Early Years setting. The successful candidate will provide individualised support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping to ensure they are fully included in school life and able to access the curriculum.

The post holder will:
  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Early Years, tailored to meet their specific learning, emotional and developmental needs
  • Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Promote the pupil's independence, wellbeing and social development
  • Work closely with teaching staff, ALNCo, external professionals and parents/carers
The Successful Candidate Will:
  • Have experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting
  • Be patient, caring and able to build strong, positive relationships
  • Have an understanding of supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
  • Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
