About the RoleAdmin Assistant - ESBD Provision
Temporary Contract
18.75 hours per week. Pro Rata. 8.45am-12.30pm. Term Time.
Start date: September 2026

Head Teacher- Mrs. K.Owen-Jones (Seconded from Gwenfro CP School)
Cwm Alun will be a new specialist provision registered as a Pupil Referral Unit initially. This will be sited at Dodds Lane Gwersyllt. The provision aims to be a nurturing and inclusive setting specialising in supporting pupils with Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties (ESBD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an exciting new provision from the very beginning and play an important role in supporting children and young people with additional emotional and social needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Providing high-quality administrative support to the school leadership team and wider staff.
Acting as a first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, and external professionals.
Managing telephone calls, emails, and front office enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
Maintaining accurate pupil records and confidential documentation.
Supporting attendance monitoring, and appointments.
Processing orders, invoices, and general office administration tasks.
Supporting safeguarding procedures and ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Working closely with teaching staff and external agencies to support pupils and families.
Assisting with admissions, transition arrangements, and parent meetings where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with parents, carers, pupils, and professionals.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A professional and confidential approach at all times.
Good ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality within a school setting.
Experience working within a school or educational environment would be advantageous.

P2P systems
NMRU Milk Returns
SWAC /PLASC/ ATTENDANCE
is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
