The Headteacher and Governing Body of Awel y Mor Primary School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and highly committed individual to the role of Key Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team supporting pupils with learning needs and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) within a mainstream primary setting.The successful candidate will:
- Be experienced in working with children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Be skilled in delivering effective intervention and therapeutic support programmes
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work effectively with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies
- Be committed to inclusion, wellbeing and ensuring positive outcomes for all learners
- Be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Be resilient, empathetic and able to work under pressure
- Be confident in supporting and leading other support staff where required
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils, delivering alternative curriculum provision, monitoring progress and contributing to multi-agency work to ensure the best outcomes for children.
The successful candidate should hold a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent desirable) and demonstrate a commitment to continued professional learning.
