Penllergaer Primary is a happy, vibrant and inclusive school. We pride ourselves on our Restorative Practice, Autism Friendly and Rights Respecting ethos.

We are seeking an outstanding individual who is looking to progress within the Teaching Assistant role. The hours of work are 30 hours a week.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an experienced Teaching Assistant and demonstrates a clear understanding of how children learn and develop.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Have high expectations both for children and themselves.
• Have excellent communication skills and be committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Support high quality teaching and learning.
• Enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning.
• Be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community.

There is an opportunity for additional hours in our breakfast and after school club if desirable.

First Aid, Childcare and Thrive and or ELSA qualifications could prove advantageous.
