Child Protection and CLA mentor
Required from September 2026
Salary Range : G05 : £24,609 - £27,588
This is a permanent position of 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated mentor to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help in relation to Child Protection matters and to provide support for children looked after.
They will work under the guidance of our inclusion coordinator and take a lead role in providing pastoral support to children looked after, addressing their needs to overcome barriers to learning in particular. They will work with students to maximise their ability to learn, increase their motivation to remain in learning, and support them to achieve qualifications. They will receive and coordinate child protection referrals, arranging action and reviewing services for children and families as well as maintaining accurate, confidential and up to date documentation on all cases of safeguarding and child protection. They will also build, and maintain positive and supportive relationships with outside agencies, parents and carers.
