Grade 4 - £25,989 for 15 hours per week for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £9254.94 pro rata.
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at St Teilo's Catholic Primary School. This is a fixed-term, part-time 1:1 support role, providing individual support for a learner to enable full access to learning and development within a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role
Working under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff, you will play a key role in supporting a learner's educational, social and emotional development. You will help to create a positive and engaging learning environment while promoting independence and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a learner, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and access to learning
- Support the learner's social, emotional, physical and educational development
- Assist in the implementation of individual development plans (IDPs) and behaviour strategies
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities and monitor progress
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence
- Build effective relationships with staff, parents/carers and other professionals
- Support the preparation of classroom activities and resources
- Promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion at all times
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting
- Has an understanding of additional learning needs (ALN)
- Demonstrates patience, empathy and a positive approach to supporting learners
- Has good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
- Is able to work effectively as part of a team
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) EWC registration
A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, or GCSEs)
- Experience working with children
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Awareness of the Curriculum for Wales
