Ysgol Bryn Tabor in Wrexham is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team.

They are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and committed individual who is willing to work with children within the Foundation Phase.

As a Teaching Assistant, you would support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both inside and outside the classroom.

Duties include:
Supporting learners with their Welsh language and literacy skills
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
Supporting pupils with their numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
Supporting learners across the various areas of the classroom
Understanding safeguarding and behaviour policies and your role within these policies
Promoting Welsh culture
Working with children aged 3–6 within the Foundation Phase
Supporting the teacher in various classroom roles
The ability to conduct yourself professionally at all times when working in schools
Essential Criteria:
Must be fluent in Welsh
A desire to learn more about becoming a Teaching Assistant
Enthusiasm for working with children
Possess relevant qualities, including patience and good communication skills
The ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times
The ability to listen to and learn from more experienced staff
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience of working with children
Any previous experience working with children with special educational needs
Strong Welsh, English and Mathematics skills
Communication skills relevant to working with children and adults
Competent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
The ability to self-manage and organise your own time
Personal Qualities:

The apprenticeship includes both on-the-job learning and off-the-job training, leading to nationally recognised qualifications.
