The Governing Body of Cwmbach Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, caring and progressive Headteacher who will place the wellbeing and success of our pupils and staff at the heart of school life, build on the strength of our existing team and lead our school confidently into its next chapter.
We are a nurturing, welcoming and friendly school of approximately 242 pupils, situated in the village of Cwmbach in the Cynon Valley. Our caring and inclusive ethos is central to everything we do, and we are proud of the strong relationships that exist between our pupils, staff, families and wider community.
Our school includes two Learning Support Classes, which are an integral and valued part of our school community and are managed in partnership with the Local Authority.
We are looking for a Headteacher who:
- Is passionate about providing an excellent education, with high expectations, ensuring every child is supported to thrive, achieve and reach their full potential;
- Is a caring and compassionate leader who places the wellbeing of pupils and staff at the heart of school life and decision-making;
- Is a strategic thinker with a clear vision and the ambition to build on our existing strengths and lead the school confidently forward;
- Has proven leadership and management skills and will inspire, motivate and empower others, valuing their contribution and nurturing the strong team ethos that exists within our school;
- Is passionate about inclusive education, ensuring all children are valued, supported and enabled to thrive, and will work in close partnership with the Local Authority in the shared leadership and management of our Learning Support Classes and their staff;
- Is an excellent communicator who is approachable and visible and who will build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers;
- Values the important role of families and the wider community and is committed to developing and strengthening these partnerships;
- Will work openly and effectivley with the Governing Body, Staff, the Local Authority and other partners to secure the very best outcomes for all our children.
