Come and join our team
The Head and Governors of our school wish to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics to cover a period of maternity leave as part of our dedicated team of professionals. We are looking for a dedicated teacher who wishes to join a dynamic, hardworking department who has the ability and vision to lead pupils to exceptional outcomes.
The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the department with the aim to maximise the potential of all pupils and enhance learning opportunities that enrich their learning experience.
As a department we are committed to developing our approach to the New Curriculum, demonstrating a positive learning environment, and centre our curriculum on the disciplines of Mathematics including the traditional Mathematics components of developing numerical reasoning, number, measuring, geometry, algebra and data skills .
The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to positively impact upon the attitudes of our pupils towards mathematics through the application and connection of the five mathematical proficiencies using a range of real-life contexts to explore mathematical concepts as well as to consolidate them. These learning experiences will support our pupils to become creative and critical thinkers, not just during their time with us at Dyffryn Taf, but for the rest of their lives.
We are a community school that places a great emphasis on positive, productive and respectful relationships between pupils and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic department within a warm and welcoming school.
