Job description
The Governing Body of Radnor Valley Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational classroom practitioner who is committed to well-being, learning and school community.

The successful candidate would need to have high expectations for learners with a focus on delivering learning and teaching, raising attainment and progress.

This is a maternity cover position which is expected to begin on Monday 11 th January 2026. The position is 0.8 FT, with the possibility of additional hours. This post is until 31 st August 2027 in the first instance.

We are seeking to appoint an excellent practitioner who:
  • has experience of teaching and planning learning experiences across a primary school setting
  • can collaborate in a small team and independently, demonstrating strong organisational skills
  • can contribute to whole school events, and understand the values of small school settings
  • has the ability to build positive relationships with learners, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
  • has the ability to innovate learning experiences, providing accessible opportunities for all
  • can reflect on practice, and is flexible to innovation in pedagogy, curriculum and assessment
  • has a strong work ethic, is reliable, punctual and approaches work with energy and enthusiasm.
  • has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
