CAA Examinations Assistant

Cardiff and Vale College

Salary: £25,949 - £26,256 pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cardiff and Vale College as a CAA Examinations Assistant, based at our International Centre for Aerospace Training (ICAT).

Working closely with the ICAT Examinations Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring our aviation examinations run smoothly, securely and in line with Civil Aviation Authority requirements.

This is a varied role covering the full examinations process, from registering candidates and preparing examination materials through to invigilation, processing results and issuing certificates.

What You'll Do

You will support the effective administration and delivery of CAA examinations, including:
  • Preparing examination papers, documentation and examination rooms
  • Registering candidates and processing examination entries
  • Invigilating and marking examinations following appropriate training and procedures
  • Recording results, maintaining accurate examination records and issuing certificates
  • Responding to candidate enquiries and supporting the wider administration of the examinations function
  • Ensuring examinations and associated processes comply with CAA requirements

About You

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable working within established procedures and regulations.

You'll have strong administrative and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience within examinations, education, administration or another regulated environment would provide a strong foundation for the role.

You don't necessarily need to come from an aerospace background. What's important is your ability to learn the relevant processes, work accurately and consistently, and provide an excellent service to learners and colleagues.

Why Join Us

You'll be joining our specialist Aerospace team at ICAT, supporting examination delivery within a highly regulated and industry-focused environment.

Cardiff and Vale College offers generous annual leave, access to our health scheme and membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, with an employer contribution of 16.30%.
