Lunchtime Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and responsible Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will help ensure the smooth operation of our daily lunchtime routines, encourage pupils to enjoy healthy eating and try new foods, supervise behaviour, and contribute to a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for all children during the lunch period.
The role will also involve supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), either on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, ensuring they are fully included and supported during lunchtime activities.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, term time only.
This role is ideal for anyone looking for flexible hours that fit around family commitments or other responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who has:
- The ability to remain calm and build positive relationships with both adults and children based on mutual respect.
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, supporting children with Additional Learning Needs.
- Knowledge of basic food safety procedures (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Supervising pupils during the lunchtime period, both indoors and outdoors.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping create a safe and inclusive environment.
- Supporting pupils during mealtimes and encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Providing support for children with Additional Learning Needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them engage positively in lunchtime routines and activities.
- Promoting positive social interaction and inclusion amongst all pupils.
- Assisting with other lunchtime and catering requirements as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility and a willingness to support other catering and lunchtime requirements when needed.
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach when working with children.
- Full training and support.
- A friendly and supportive working environment.
