Gors Community School: Teaching Assistant (Level 2) X 2

The Governing Body of Gors Community School wish to appoint two Teaching Assistants for 27.5 hours per week, with an additional 5-hour Lunchtime Supervisor role.

Gors Community School is a richly diverse community school where all languages, cultures and religions are celebrated and valued. We have high expectations for all learners and develop strong links between school and home enabling children to reach their full potential in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

The post will be temporary in the first instance to commence as soon as possible.

Salary : Grade 4, SCP 5 - 6 - £26,427 - £26,847 (Pro-rata basis)

This post requires someone who -
  • Ideally has experience of working in a primary school or childcare setting or has relevant experience of working with young people.
  • Holds relevant qualifications, eg. GCSEs, or NVQ or other relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Has excellent Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills.
  • Is passionate about working with children to support them to achieve their potential.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is able to nurture, support, challenge and inspire our children.
  • Is able to support children between the ages of 3 and 11with their learning in all classes.
  • Is able to support the planning and delivery of high quality, authentic and purposeful learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Is able to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs and those for whom English is an Additional Language.
  • Shows initiative to work both individually and as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
  • Supports the life of the school and the wider community.
