An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the thriving and richly diverse school community at Parc Lewis Primary School, located on the edge of Treforest in Pontypridd.
The Headteacher and Governing Body of our successful, caring and welcoming school are seeking to appoint a highly organised, reliable and efficient School Clerk to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy school office.
As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, external agencies and other professionals, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our school provides a warm, professional and positive welcome to the school community. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and approachable individual who is committed to delivering high-quality administrative support and contributing to the smooth running of the school.
Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the Level 3 Clerk will be responsible for a range of administrative, financial and organisational functions, ensuring that systems and processes operate efficiently and effectively. The postholder will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support the planning, development and delivery of key support services, helping to ensure the continued success of the school.

The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrate a warm, professional and approachable manner, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff and the wider school community.
• Possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel, with the confidence to use technology effectively in a busy office environment.
• Have experience of, and a sound working knowledge of, Local Authority management information systems and related administrative processes.
• Be able to utilise ICT effectively for word processing, spreadsheet management, data handling and the production of accurate reports and records.
• Understand school financial procedures and the ability to support financial administration in line with established policies and regulations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team while also showing initiative and the ability to work independently when required.
• Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate exceptional organisational and administrative skills, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency in all aspects of their work.
• Have a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality, data protection and professional integrity, maintaining discretion at all times.
