As our Construction Trainer - Multi-Trade, you will deliver engaging, industry-relevant training across areas including Brickwork, Painting & Decorating, Tiling and Plastering, helping learners develop the practical skills, confidence and employability they need to succeed in the construction industry.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will use your construction experience to inspire and develop learners, delivering high-quality training and assessment both in College and, where appropriate, within the workplace.
You will plan and deliver engaging multi-trade training, support learners through assessment and progression, and work closely with employers to ensure our provision reflects current industry needs.
Alongside developing learners' technical abilities, you will help embed essential skills, employability and safe working practices, while monitoring progress and contributing to the continued quality and improvement of our construction provision.
What You'll Do
You will:
- Deliver and assess high-quality, practical training across a range of construction trades up to Level 3
- Support learners to develop their technical skills, confidence, employability and readiness for industry
- Build positive relationships with learners and employers, helping individuals progress and achieve their goals
- Contribute your current industry knowledge and experience to ensure training remains relevant, engaging and responsive to the construction sector
About You
You'll bring strong, practical construction experience and the ability to share your knowledge in a way that motivates and supports others.
You will have a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a relevant construction trade such as Brickwork, Painting & Decorating, Tiling or Plastering, together with significant industry experience.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can bring experience across multiple construction trades, alongside advanced construction knowledge and strong health and safety awareness.
An Assessor Award and TAQA Level 4/IQA qualification are required, A teaching qualification, HNC/Degree in Construction and relevant CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications would also be advantageous.
Most importantly, you'll be organised, approachable and passionate about helping learners develop the skills they need to build successful careers in the construction industry.
Welsh language skills are welcomed, and support is available for those willing to learn.
