We are seeking a creative and aspirational Catering and Hospitality Teacher to join our team and lead high-quality vocational and life-skills learning across our refurbished barista café and our life skills kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to shape an ambitious pathway that enables our pupils to develop independence, transferable skills and confidence for adulthood.
About the Role

Life skills such as independence, communication, problem solving and personal organisation
Customer service confidence through positive interactions and simple service routines
Teamwork and communication in real-world vocational settings
Transferable employability skills that prepare them for supported internships, work placements and future employment
The post-holder will oversee the daily operation of the café and life skills kitchens, ensuring they are safe, well-organised and reflective of professional standards.
Teaching will focus on enabling pupils to become increasingly independent, confident and capable within practical environments.
What we're looking for
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:
A recognised teaching qualification
A relevant catering/hospitality qualification or strong industry experience
Experience supporting ALN learners and adapting teaching to meet diverse needs
A calm, aspirational approach that promotes independence and high expectations
Why join us

You will play a key role in shaping a vocational offer that raises aspirations, builds independence and makes a genuine difference to pupils' futures.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records and will be required to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
