Salary: £26,389 - £51,934 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.

We are looking for an experienced automotive professional to join our Automotive Engineering team as a Lecturer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your industry expertise to develop the next generation of automotive professionals, delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across our Automotive programmes.

Whether you are already an experienced lecturer or an automotive professional with the right technical expertise, this role offers the opportunity to share your knowledge and play an important part in developing learners' skills, confidence and future careers.

What You'll Do

You will plan, deliver and assess high-quality teaching across our Automotive provision, supporting learners throughout their studies and helping them achieve their full potential.

You will:
  • Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based teaching across Automotive programmes.
  • Assess learners, monitor their progress and identify any additional support needs.
  • Use your industry knowledge to ensure learning remains current, relevant and aligned to employer needs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement across the provision.
  • Support learners with both their academic progress and wider development.

About You

You'll bring recent experience from the automotive industry and have strong technical knowledge within your specialist area. You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in an Automotive discipline and have experience of work-based learning.

You'll be enthusiastic about sharing your expertise with learners and able to bring automotive concepts to life in both the classroom and workshop. You'll be organised, approachable and committed to providing an excellent learner experience.

A PGCE is desirable, or you should be willing to work towards one.

If you have the technical expertise and passion to help others develop their skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to bring your professional automotive experience into education and directly influence the skills of future automotive professionals.

At Cardiff and Vale College, you'll join a collaborative Automotive Engineering team where your industry knowledge will help ensure our learners develop relevant, practical skills that prepare them for employment and progression within the sector.
