Wellbeing Officer

32.5 hours per week – (Term Time Only)

Grade 7 – (£24,920 x 76.82%)

The Governing Body wish to appoint a Wellbeing Officer to work at Ysgol Hen Felin to complement our existing team.

Ysgol Hen Felin is a highly regarded, sector leading special school which caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties and pupils on the autistic spectrum. The school is situated on two sites. The main site is located at Ystrad Rhondda with a satellite provision based in the local college.

Our wellbeing centre was established in 2018 and provides a fit for purpose environment to deliver all aspects of the Wellbeing Officer role. The room is well equipped with a kitchen area, dining/meeting space, comfortable seating area and a good range of ICT equipment.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking Wellbeing Officer to continue the good work that has already been established in this area. The successful candidate will possess a real passion for, and commitment to, working with children with a range of additional learning needs, their families and the local community. A combination of flexibility, enthusiasm, innovation and sound organisational skills is essential.
