Salary: Grade 4 - £19,650 x 76.82%, plus Special Class Allowance (£1,347 pro rata)

Ysgol Tŷ Coch is a highly regarded, sector leading special school which caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties and youngsters on the autistic spectrum. The school was judged to be ‘Excellent’ with ‘Excellent prospects for improvement’ by ESTYN in June 2017. The school currently operates from 3 sites. The main site is located in Tonteg with satellite provisions located in Buarth y Capel (Ynysybwl) and the Nantgarw campus of Coleg y Cymoedd. The successful candidate could be required to work on any of the school sites.
Due to an increase in pupil numbers and a change in the delivery of the curriculum, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint multiple enthusiastic and innovative Teaching Assistants (Level 2) to support high quality teaching and learning in our wonderful school. Experience of working with pupils who have additional learning needs (ALN) is desirable. The successful candidate(s) may be required to work across all sites of the school.
The post will be available ASAP although start dates are negotiable.
