Role Title: Finance Officer (Purchase Ledger)

Contract Type: Permanent - Part Time
Salary: £20,277 - £21,690 (Pro rata)

● We are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer - Purchase Ledger to join our busy Finance team based at our Northop site. As the Finance Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that the Purchase invoices are processed and paid in a timely and efficient manner.
● To monitor financial records to ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
● To reconcile and produce appropriate financial statements and reports liaising with college staff and external parties as necessary.
● To assist with the development of financial procedures and systems.
● To undertake general office administrative duties in support of the Finance function.
● To provide a “service-focussed” approach to all staff and customers which is accurate, timely and user friendly.
● To undertake any other appropriate duties relating to this position.

Essential Requirements
● GCSE qualified Grade A-C in English and Maths.
● Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant professional area of expertise.
● Previous experience of working within a busy finance department.
● Experience of coordinating procedures or processes within a financial department.
● Competent user of IT - able to pick up new IT software and Finance packages easily. Also able to navigate Internet and Intranets.
