Role Title: Nursery Nurse
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time (37 hours Monday- Friday over 36 weeks )
Salary scale: £19,136-£19,249 (£18,850 Pro Rata)

Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Nursery Nurse to join our Toy Box Nursery team based at our Deeside site.

The Toybox Nursery is our on-site nursery which provides full and part time places for the children of both staff and students of the college plus members of the local community. We offer good quality childcare, ensuring that both parents and children enter an environment that is warm and friendly, with care and education of the highest standard.

As a Nursery Nurse you will assist with all activities associated with the care and development of children, including their general health, welfare, safety and basic physical development. You will act as a key worker and assist with the organisation, planning and preparation for meals, activities, rest times, cleaning and laundry.
We are looking for someone that has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, showing personal drive and self-confidence, a strong team player who can work cooperatively with team members of all levels.

Essential Requirements
● Qualified to NNEB, BTEC or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare Studies, with prior experience of working in a childcare establishment
● Knowledge of child welfare issues and understand the importance of setting goals and objectives
● Basic food hygiene and a first aid certificate would be preferable, although not essential as full training can be provided
● Enthusiasm, flexibility and able to work independently
