An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, talented and highly motivated individual to join the Built Environment team. The Built Environment is an aspiring department with a clear vision of delivering and inspiring. The student’s educational journey is at the heart of what we do. As a department we are continually adapting to an evolving industry and working towards the ‘green’ agenda.

The lecturer will be responsible for the development and delivery of a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies, monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback throughout the academic year. A key priority for Gower College is ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, who is enthusiastic and committed in inspiring and challenging all learners to achieve their potential. You will have good organisational and problem solving skills and will be prepared to work flexibly. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. If you do not have a teaching qualification we will support you in your development in getting a PgCE.

Our Construction department is expanding and we are looking for someone with experience in the following trade areas;

Carpentry
Brickwork
Painting & Decorating
Plastering
Hours available: Part time, 18.5 hours per week.
