The Aspire Department at the College has an exciting opportunity for a high-performing and enthusiastic Professional Learning and Quality Manager who is passionate and will enable others to achieve the highest standards. You will manage all aspects of provision within the areas of Teaching & Learning, Digital Innovation for Curriculum, Quality Assurance and Staff Development.

Salary Details: Scale MS7– MS9 (£51,018- £53,806 pro rata)

Contract Type: Salaried (Management) - Permanent

Hours of work: Full time - 37 hours per week

Holiday Entitlement: 37 days plus statutory bank holidays & College efficiency closures (per annum)

Qualifications
It is essential to hold a minimum level 5 qualification in a relevant field and;
It is essential to hold a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification.
It is desirable to hold an ILM or recognised management qualification.

Experience
Successful project management and team leadership with recent relevant teaching/training experience and of training/developing and upskilling colleagues and peers.
Excellent understanding of quality assurance processes, financial planning, and resource management.
Experience of dealing with a range of learners across a wide spectrum of academic levels and of managing and improving the behaviour of challenging individuals and groups.

This is an ideal role for an experienced, outstanding teacher and manager, who is high-performing and ambitious, with the drive to achieve visible improvements to show real progress across the whole college.

We expect excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead and manage our high-performing staff in continual quality improvement and to motivate both staff and learners. This role requires excellent people management skills, including the ability to reflect, make sound but swift decisions and adapt to the ever-changing educational environment.
This role will be undertaken on the College premises in Haverfordwest. The College has a flexible working policy but due to the nature of the role, home or remote working cannot be agreed on a regular or permanent basis.
