An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Learning Area Manager in Independent Living Skills (ILS). The Learning Area has a new Welsh Government led non-accredited curriculum, based on the 4 pillars; Community, Health and Wellbeing, Employability and ILS.

The pillars, combined with appropriate qualifications and the opportunity to develop literacy and numeracy, create a dynamic and flexible curriculum for students ranging from pre-entry up to GCSE.

The Assistant Learning Area Manager will support the Learning Area Manager in leading a team of dedicated staff to ensure the highest standards of quality are embedded within the provision. With a clear focus on developing the curriculum, managing student behaviour, tracking and monitoring student progress, managing cover and the management of staff.

Having previous experience of working in an additional learning needs educational setting will be highly desirable. The role will also carry a teaching commitment within the ILS department.

We are looking for candidates who can bring innovation, energy and a can-do attitude, supported by an extensive knowledge of additional learning needs.
