Role Title: Student Services Advisor

Contract Type: Full time - Fixed Term until 31 August 2023

Salary: £22,218 - £23,088; salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.



Coleg Cambria are currently searching for a Student Services Advisor to handle all day-to-day learner enquiries and issue appropriate information in response, including face to face, telephone, chat online and email enquiries.

This includes supporting learners on welfare issues as well as disseminating information to learners regarding transport as well as ensuring transport arrangements are in place by liaising with local LEAs, Arriva, Bus companies, organising transport passes for learners and keeping these records up to date.

Essential Requirements

Good standard of education (GCSE Grade D and above in literacy and numeracy)
NVQ Level 3 Advice and Guidance
Experience of providing advice and guidance
Experience of dealing with young people’s welfare issues
Experience of dealing with sensitive situations
Knowledge of learner support issues
Personal resilience to cope with a range of situations
Good ICT skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Can establish effective working relationships, strong team player
Is self-confident and displays energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment
Creative, innovative and imaginative
Open and responsive to the needs of others
Can quickly adapt to changing circumstances and new ideas
Committed to continuous personal and professional development
