Governors seek to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Headteacher who will continue to raise our aspirations and ensure consistent outstanding learning opportunities for all students. Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is looking for a committed professional who has experience of increasing and maintaining performance and raising and maintaining standards for every member of the school community.
Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is situated in the beautiful Tywi Valley and serves an area of both agricultural and industrial traditions and the talented community therein. It is ideally located less than an hour north-west of Swansea with good transport links.
The Governors are committed to appoint a Headteacher who is:
A leader with a proven track record of raising attainments and ensuring the very best progress for students;
Having the vision, knowledge, experience and skills to lead this popular Category 2B school;
Build on the existing strengths and further develop the potential of pupils and staff;
Be committed to maintaining high standards of achievement and behaviour;
Has the ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils and staff; and
Be approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Welsh and English.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE SUBJECT TO ENHANCED DBS CHECK

You will need to be able to communicate fluently in Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
The successful applicant will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales before appointment.
