Llantwit Major School’s governing body are seeking to appoint an aspirational and innovative leader who will continue to move Llantwit Major school forward to its goal of excellence. The successful candidate will lead the school's strategic vision and will provide inspirational and motivational leadership so that, through the continued development of curriculum delivery, the prospects of all pupil outcomes are enhanced.
To demonstrate that you are the right person to do that you will have :-
• Proven leadership success in a secondary school leadership team,
• Effective strategies for raising achievement and attaining excellence,
• Experience of monitoring and improving individual, team and school development,
• Enthusiasm for leading the school with the new Curriculum for Wales,
• Strong communication and partnering skills, working in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
Llantwit Major school is an English medium 11-18 mixed comprehensive in the Vale of Glamorgan. Pupils are drawn from the town itself and the rural surrounding area. The school provides very high standards and was very successful in its last Estyn inspection. It underwent a major rebuild as part of the Llantwit Major Learning Community, providing excellent facilities for 21st century education.
