Business Assurance Officer
Itec Training Solutions is recruiting a Business Support Officer to join its Business Improvement Team. The focus of the role will be the management and further development of Itec’s ISO systems and execution of the internal audit program. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to develop Business Administration/ Management skills by supporting the Business Improvement Manager in other operational areas of the group.
The permanent role will adapt to the skills of the job holder allowing significant scope for further professional development arising from the growth of the business and the progression of the individual. The jobholder will be expected to continue learning through internal and external channels to maintain expert knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO27001 and other accredited compliance systems.
Salary Banding: £31,000 - £35,000 dependant on skills and experience
Location: Itec House, Cardiff
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 35 Hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm
What are the core responsibilities of this role?
• Responsible for supporting the development and achievement of ISO27001 and other ISO requirements in line with company requirements.
• Accountable for management and execution of the internal audit programme and conduct independent audits of the QMS and ISMS.
• Accountable for proactively managing the oversight of audit findings, responses, and corrective actions.
• Responsible for assisting in the hosting of external audits including but not limited to BSI, Cyber Essential Plus and Matrix audits.
• Responsible for being the companies assigned Data Protection Officer
What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?
• A strong working knowledge of both ISO 9001 and 27001, and experience of working with the standards, including hosting BSI/ External Auditor inspections.
• Proven experience of ISO 27001 implementation.
• Proven experience of planning and conducting audits in line with the requirements of ISO standards.
• Proven experience of reporting and statistical analysis of general security controls, KPI’s and dashboards.
• Experience of delivering security awareness and training.
• Experience of creating BCP Test Reports and formal reporting for management
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.
