Governors are looking to appoint a suitable person to the role of a technology technician at St Julian’s School.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an improving school, with high expectations and aspirations to become an outstanding school with the autonomy to research and promote new ability to work well as part of a team, adopting a flexible approach as required.

The School is looking to appoint a professional, enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated team player to join our Operations Team.

This role would be suitable for an exceptional candidate, who is committed to join a friendly and supportive team who can support the preparation of materials and equipment for design and technology lessons. You will provide assistance to teachers and students during practical tasks, maintain stock, process and calculate orders, play a key role in managing health and safety in the department and arrange maintenance of tools and equipment, as well as other general administrative tasks relevant to the department. The successful candidate should be willing to contribute to our positive and welcoming school ethos. Has excellent behaviour management skills and is ready to adapt to the needs of individuals, remain calm under pressure and have a good sense of humour!

The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, have excellent organisational skills, and have the ability to multitask. Training will be provided where necessary. Experience in using CAD/CAM (laser cutter, 3D printer etc) is desirable or a keen willingness to learn.

Working hours are term-time + 2 weeks; 32.5 hours, Monday - Friday 08:20-15:10
