37 hours per week

Wrexham Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-agency organisation whose vision is to help create, "A Wrexham which is safe and crime free for all and where young people are valued citizens within the community".

The post will have responsibilities for Youth to Adult Transitions.

As a Youth Justice Service Officer, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people who are subject to statutory Court Orders, Out of Court Disposals, and Prevention programmes.

As an individual with a Degree in a related discipline or equivalent level of Youth Justice experience, you will have experience of completing assessments, delivering interventions, and managing risks and vulnerabilities.

The YJS is a busy and dynamic place to work, so you will need to be flexible and have the drive, enthusiasm and resilience to work within resources, delivering an excellent service and managing competing demands. Successful candidates will be required to work Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a rota basis, to provide a duty officer for the local courts.

This post is a fixed term opportunity until 31st March 2024.
