Supply Teacher

Supply Teacher

Ceredigion County Council
About the role
We pride ourselves on providing educational provision of the highest standard and so we are seeking engaging and effective teachers to add to our central supply register.

Supply teachers are important in ensuring continuity of effective teaching and learning during staff absences. Supply teaching can provide a great opportunity for teachers looking for more flexibility, or teachers who are newly qualified and wishing to gain practical experience.

We are looking for teachers who:
  • can engage children in lessons that are stimulating and engaging
  • have a positive impact on pupil progress and be effective at raising attainment
  • use positive and effective behaviour management strategies
  • have excellent curricular and subject knowledge
  • can demonstrate flexibility and be able to adapt to the different needs and values of our schools
  • have a strong commitment to their own professional development

This is supported in the general our ethos and all our schools, therefore, all staff working in schools must complete a Child Protection Level 1 e-learning module and be registered with the Education Workforce Council.

For further information, please contact Daniel Davies on Daniel.Davies@ceredigion.gov.uk

This is an ongoing recruitment campaign and as such there is currently no closing date for applications.

Submittedapplications will be considered on a periodic basis.

Safeguarding and child protection are key priorities for us. We aim to support vulnerable children and young people to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be. We and our educational establishments acknowledge that children and young people have a right to protection and will take action to safeguard their welfare. Each member of staff and volunteer is expected to share this commitment, and we will require an Enhanced Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), formerly CRB.
